In a Nutshell:A jilted man moves to China's Western desert, facilitating the hiring of swordsmen, for personal revenge.Ouyang(Leslie Cheung)is tormented in his dreams, by the woman who married his brother.
Re-edit and new score, of the 1994 classic. A Lot of voice over and dialogue;about loss and purpose. Short on action save for one,several minute,slow mo scene, of a swordsmen fighting bandits.
The new Wu Tong score, perfectly complements the weighty dilemmas and close ups; and helps to hold our attention. |
