Rated 2.88/5
In a Nutshell:Man Killer Sharon Stone is back after 14 years, trading open San Francisco for the "good form" of London. It doesn't work its magic, like Woody Allen found in Matchpoint.
Stone only has one look and portrayal:the overacting, manipulative siren, with the legs and husky voice. Co star Morrissey projects the internal conflict of his character, and ex-wife Varma and shrink friend Rampling, turn out strong support. The simulated sex is graphic(probably some back and forth with rating assoc.),though the ensemble does not convey the edginess and lure of the original. |
