In a Nutshell:A soft,mob attorney(Cusak)rips 2 million off his client with the help of a small time porno dealer(Thornton). Some laughs do not make up for the lack of motivation for this too nice a guy (Cusak:stereotyp. role), risking his life to steal the money. Thornton is too soft for bad guy or comic foil; but mildly creepy. Platt stands out as hilarious drunk/obnoxious brother in law.Nielson an overdone take off on femme noir siren.Good choice of setting in the girlie bars of blizzardy Wichita Kan.
